Welcome to BAY CLIPPER, this low hour (approximately 800 hours) one-owner, boathouse-kept 2007 Grand Banks 47 Europa (Hull #26) is in as-new condition with the highly desirable Caterpillar C-7 engines which give a comfortable fast cruise over 17 knots, top speed of 20 and yet will work beautifully at displacement speeds with trawler efficiency and range. Truly the best of both worlds. BAY CLIPPER is a factory extended cockpit version of the 47 Europa which transforms the cockpit from a passable space into a cockpit fit for entertainment. The extended cockpit also dramatically increases the underlying lazarette for storage.
U.S. buyers please note that Calibre Yacht Sales is very experienced in cross-border sales and can help you with the delivery and details to avoid B.C. taxes and properly import this yacht south of the border.
The replacement cost on this vessel would run in excess of $1.3M USD plus duty and taxes. BAY CLIPPER is so lightly used that you will be hard pressed to tell her from new except for all the nice touches and better than new details of custom covers for all exterior furnishings. The teak cockpit and decks glow with the warm amber hue of fresh cut teak timbers. Take advantage of the substantial savings of acquiring this as-new 47 EU and start your journey immediately as she is turn key and ready to go.
The next generation of the Heritage Series is gracefully manifested in the 47EU. Highlighted by advances in Sparkman & Stevens design, construction and a sophisticated new styling, this Grand Banks is an irresistible combination of classic beauty and pure exhilaration. Like her predecessors, the 47EU’s rock-solid reliability is complemented by elegant lines and gracious interiors. What surprises, though, is the assertive power and performance that lie beneath her refined exterior. Push forward the throttles, and you’ll soon be nearing 24 knots in steady, quiet comfort, riding smooth and trim atop a new modified deep-V hull. Enriched by amenities from stem to stern, this popular Heritage model is expertly built for the ultimate cruising experience – at any pace you choose to cruise.

Many subtle design features contribute to the low trim angle and great visibility, from the distribution of weight to the specialized geometry of the prop tunnels. The twin tunnels also allow for better stability most noticeable at anchor or slower speeds. The dual chine hull gets you swiftly on plane, and along with the flared bow helps keep things dry on deck. The wide 15ft 9 inch beam not only provides for more space and openness throughout the living areas, it also serves to increase stability at sea for an even more comfortable ride.
Just as important as the design of her hull is its construction a time tested process that is renowned for producing seaworthy, long lasting boats. The highest quality fiberglass fabrics are expertly hand laid and laminated with resins selected for their ability to resist blistering. The 47 Europa is solid fiberglass below the waterline with topsides that are cored above the boot stripe using Herex cross linked closed cell foam to prevent water intrusion. This coring is vacuum-bagged into place to optimize strength and weight savings. A system of heavy duty stringers is molded of fiberglass and bonded to the hull for added strength and rigidity.
BAY CLIPPER is currently located in a Sidney boathouse on Vancouver Island and will soon be moving to our North Vancouver sales dock. The 50’x24′ boathouse is also available separately.
