Below the water line

The 34 DeFever Passagemaker was built in Costa Mesa California by Art Defever and Jensen Marine.   Her round-bilge, full- displacement hull has a deep keel and a large rudder for directional stability.   With a flared bow, sharp entry and deep forefoot, these provide you with a dry and comfortable ride in offshore conditions.

Built on a solid fibreglass hull, ( core sample on-board), the 34 sedan is well suited for a cruising couple.

Bow Thruster   A must have with a single engine trawler.

The Volvo CT-600 QL was professionally installed in 2012 by Blackline Marine and Raven Marine, Sidney B.C.  While the ship runs a 12 volt system, it was recommended that the bow thruster be fitted with  it’s own dedicated power supply at 24 volts.   Due to the operating of a bow thruster, with quick on/ off handling, they can get hot and develop issues with only a 12v system.  Pretty smart.

The last full haul out was in July 2015 with FULL service below the waterline provided by Raven Marine.

The last service below the waterline was done on Feb 06 2018 by Scuba Scrubbers.

They noted that the paint was in good condition and new zincs were applied.  Pictures available upon viewing.

Regular maintenance of “Sophie” has been conducted by Gartside Marine at the Oak Bay Marina.

All invoices of work done are available and will stay with the yacht.
