Tatoosh

$99,500 CAD – Canadian Duty Paid!

Re-Powered in 1989

The Valiant 40s live up to their reputation, earned over 35 years! They are known as one of the finest offshore passage making cruisers designed by Bob Perry. He knows how to design a true off-shore hull. Valliant’s, since 1974 have been crossing oceans, circled the world, broke records, and explored some of the most beautiful places on this planet. This is what Tatoosh has to offer you. A serious safe  and comfortable ocean-going sailboat. The hull that will work with the ocean and not roll uncontrolled.

TATOOSH certainly has proven her mantle as a capable offshore cruiser with this being the third owner. Uniflite Valiants are well known for their fire-retardant resin, the source of the “cosmetic” blisters that have never been associated with any sort of catastrophic failure. She has spent her life in many different waters, exploring and safely creating amazing adventures for each owner. Single handling her is a breeze. This is without a doubt, a very well-designed boat, easy to sail and she is quick.

The boat has a broad bow which accounts for a fine entry and leaving nice dry decks in most seas. The concept of the double ender became very popular with this design. The Valiant 40 has now been introduced into the American Sailboat Hall of fame.

This cutter rig has so much to offer. She has a divided sail plan so that the sails are smaller and easier to manage. All lines are led back for easy control for anyone single handling. Then include the superior tough hull that will easily take you north to Alaska or south to Columbia. There is storage everywhere both large and small.

Her accommodations are very livable for long range cruising and her performance, under most sailing conditions, is superior to many traditional offshore cruisers.

This is your chance to get out there and start your ADVENTURE. Don’t waste another day. Just do it!

Have a look at the video to see the sails up and how easily she glides through the water.

Give me a call – I’m sure you will be glad you did!
